Week 1: Introduction to Graphic Design
- Identifying the role of Graphic Design.
- Explore the question, what is good design?
- Getting your pencils out for sketching.
- Working in a studio environment to produce a corporate identity.
Week 2: Logo Design with Adobe Illustrator
- Creating Vector illustration with Adobe Illustrator.
- Start using industry standards to create professional artwork.
- Development studio project.
Week 3: Business Card Design and Corporate Identity
- Final studio development of corporate identity.
- Redraw logo in vector format.
- Applying clients design to business cards and letterheads.
Week 4: Poster Design and Photo Enhancement
- Using Photoshop to enhance imagery
- Importing client’s logo for promotional use.
- Collection of corporate identities for multiple purposes
(different applications of your artwork so you can show it off)
Who is my Instructor
Seth Taylor, Melbourne, Australia (Graphic Design Instructor)
Seth Taylor has been a Graphic Designer for over 8 years. He is passionate about the use of typography and good design both past and present. Seth aims to provide a creative inspiring environment, wanting his trainees to explore their inner designer to produce quality artwork.
Seth has worked with some of the top international agencies including Promotions Factory who were responsible for creating the Australian Football League, Commonwealth Games, Transformers and DreamWorks Movies. He has won National Packaging Awards and is currently the head of the Web Courses Bangkok Graphics Department.
His favourite saying is "Less is More".
