Web Courses Bangkok was great! The teacher, Carl Heaton, was well-organized and presented each step clearly and purposefully. Many times we learn something new, but really don’t understand why its important. Carl’s explainations allowed me to fit each puzzle together while understanding the whole picture.

I think I also benefited from all the resources WebCourses provided. My weakness was design and Photoshop. Although the course doesn’t go into detail with Photoshop or Dreamweaver, I did get the relevant information I needed to create professional-looking websites without the usual information overload.

First of all, my sincere thanks to Web Courses Bangkok and all the staff, specifically, Carl Heaton, the Chief Instructor at WCB.

Carl was always open to constructive criticism and WCB continues to evolve and get better course by course.

I had played around with HTML code before and designed a basic website for an intranet.

Having no experience or idea of the web standards involved in building a site I had basically made all the mistakes in the book.

With the recent addition of the screen casts, the course content is really a valuable resource to refer back to weeks and even months after leaving the classroom.
I will defiantly be attending more courses in the future and eagerly wait to see the future development of WCB.

It is always a pleasure to comment on an experience like the one I had with Carl and the whole team during the recent advanced course brilliantly orchestrated by Carl Heaton at WCB. His unquestionable passion and long experience dealing with webdesign along with his outstanding communication and teaching skills make the course really unique.

From the early stages of demystification of coding, to the always prompt answers to students’ queries, be it during the class or via email, I found the course very well structured, and above all given in an accessible language.

The mapped learning curve during the course has now to be followed and despite the many twists and turns expected, I am pleased to say I have been given the right tools to start walking confidently in the jungle of HTML, CSS and other PHP, before accelerating the pace to be soon running, possibly even long distances, future will tell.

In the meantime, I will certainly miss my weekly meetings with my fellow students as well as Carl and can only recommend to whoever is tired of living in the shadow of the web to get a seat in the bright sunhine of WCB’s classes.

My favorite part was where Carl showed us all the existing tools that make building a website so much easier and are available on the internet for free.

The planning was definitely one of the most useful parts, because it gave me a clear understanding how to actually get started, rather then just heading off in the dark when building a website.

I really appreciated the teaching methodology and the content in this course. It was exactly what I needed, the foundations of web design including the technical stuff that can seem a bit daunting unless you have someone who really understands it explain it to you. I suspect that Carl’s genuine interest in the subject matter is what makes the classes so enjoyable. I also appreciated that we were allowed to go off on tangents at times and follow our curiosity (within reason) which I think was the benefit of a small class. I can’t recommend this course highly enough!

Recently I completed the one month (12 hours +)Bangkok web design course. For me the course was a basic introduction to web design which was exactly what I was after. When I started I had 2 goals – I wanted to be able to make changes to the websites that my company operate when I finished the course, And also to learn the basics of web design so I would know if it was something I would be interested in studying further. After a few headaches and wrong turns I reached both of these goals. The course was private and personalized.

It’s a very small class so Carl (the Teacher) can always give you a helping hand and has time to explain things to you if something has gone over your head. Carl also has a very easy going teaching style which I enjoyed. I made one major mistake during the month I did the course and that was I did not study and complete some of my homework – I recommend you put in the hard work and then you will get a lot more out of it.
